How does the Ernst Lubitsch Film “Heaven Can Wait” represent and/or foreground authorship?

How does the Ernst Lubitsch Film “Heaven Can Wait” represent and/or foreground authorship?
-Your answer should make reference to general critical analyses of authorship in cinema and should consider how the film might address or foreground its own authorship (say, for example, through the self-conscious manipulation of particular elements of film style, the systematic deployment of particular techniques used in other/previous films, ‘metaphorical’ references to the world of film production, or revisionist approaches to existing genre or films, etc.).
– The film being discussed is “Heaven Can Wait” (Ernst Lubitsch, 1943)
-Within your Bibliography, for up to five (and no less than two) of your written references you must also provide a brief annotation (approx. 60 words) that describes and contextualizes the content of the source. These annotations are NOT to be included as part of your word-count.
-The film MUST be referenced correctly

Discuss the role of music in a single film created in 1970 or before

3-5 pages or longer if you use wide margins, big print, or pictures.
You can choose any film even if it is discussed in the text. You are not limited to Hollywood films, as international films are acceptable. Films are available at the CSULB library media center if you do not have access to a work. A bibliography is not needed; use footnotes only when appropriate. Please follow the same submission guidelines as for the exam essays.
Remember: This project is about music. Do not spend much time in plot description. You do not need to write about all of the music in a film. You can choose a point of view or some aspect of the music in the movie and focus on that.

movie review

This paper should treat key examples from at least three of the films from :” Divided we fall”,”Shop on main street”, “In darkness”, “Transport from paradise” . Be sure to watch the movies first.
Include references to at least 20 examples from the films and at least a half dozen citations from the readings that I’ll upload later in my account.
With regard to carrying out Nazi policies against the Jewish population, the behavior of the governments and the local authorities of the areas that came under Fascist control during World War 2 ranged from active collaboration(to gain material benefits or advance nationalist aims), to indifferent acquiescence, to compliance out of fear. What distinguished the situations in the Czech Protectorate, in Slovakia, and in occupied Poland or Western Ukraine in this regard? In what ways do the films reflect what the readings have to say about the social, psychological, economic or political motivations individuals had for cooperating in or at least not resisting the Nazi or Fascist policies against Jews?what inclined particular characters(Horst Prohaska, Mr.Simacek, Markus Kolkocky, Tono brtko, Evelyna Brtko, Captain Bortnick, Szczepek) to acquiesce to or actively collaborate with the policies being enacted against the Jews? In your essay include examples highlighting the behavior and motivation of each of the above characters. Keep in mind that a particular character may have more than one kind of motivation for collaborating or for not helping Jews.

Film critique 2

The urban/rural dichotomy has long been used to describe the thematic concerns of the arts in Brazil. A closer analysis of the last three films we have viewed allow us to reflect on this dichotomy.
Iracema and Bye-Bye Brasil: Rather than celebrating the history and traditions of the indigenous peoples of the Amazonian region in the style of the Romantics, who put forward the notion of the ‘bom selvagem’ as a national mythology upon which Brazilian society was constructed, Jorge Bodanzky’s Iracema (1976) exposes the contemporary realities of the indigenous population of the Amazonian region during the later years of the dictatorship. The documentary aspects of his film raise some of the same questions Carlos Diegues explores in the box office success Bye-Bye Brasil (1979): more specifically, the price to be paid for the ‘development’ of the interior during the dictatorship years, the spread of new forms of mass communication, the shift away from traditional values, etc.
Pixote: During the transitional period from dictatorship to democracy in the early 1980s, Hector Babenco directs Pixote (1981), a film that brings the cinematic focus back from the hinterlands to the urban environment and the plight of the “menores abandonados” in Rio de Janeiro. This film serves as background for more recent films that portray aspects of life in the favela.
Which aspects of Brazilian history/culture/economics are portrayed/contested in these three films? Consider the theme of canibalismo and tropicalismo and the ways in which these concepts are deployed in Iracema and Bye-Bye Brasil. Can either of these concepts be applied to Pixote? How do the films contest the promises of the dictatorship to establish ‘ordem e progresso’ in Brazil? What do these films suggest about the state of the nation as a composite–urban and rural–during the final decade of the dictatorship (1976 – 1886)?
Use specific examples from the films and critical readings in your essay, which should be double spaced. . Citations should be formatted in either the MLA, APA, or Chicago style.
