What you have learned in Negotiation Class
This is the final assignment of NEGOTIATION CLASS.
The assignment is generally about WHAT WE HAVE LEARNED IN THE NEGOTIATION CLASS .
-The book required in the assignment is GTY Getting to Yes. Roger Fisher & William Ury. Third Addition) Plus the following materials.
1- Final Paper Direction (Has to be exactly followed).
2- 4 Role-Player (choose 3 of them). These role-player are exercises we did in class where the class was divided into 2 groups and each group tries to reach better deal upon the case being negotiated.
3- Materials from the COURSE READER you will use in the answers (You must cite to the course reader). Page numbers already appear on the pages so if you use them just cite to them and refer to the source which is called COURSE READER.
4- You can use the Scenario (attached) which is for the DR.ROLAND role-player. You see how the negotiation goes, the common interests between the parties, the turning point, changing the competitive method to cooperative.. Etc.
* We also watched videos on YouTube about (Settlement) regarding Jane Doe & Professor Palsgraf (Sexual Harassment) -ROLE-PLYER2.
In these 2 videos you can talk about the strengths and weaknesses of the negotiators, the skills used, the method, what you learned, what would you do..etc
So in your answer you would mention the videos and talk about them.
Note: you don’t have to use both of them, one is enough but still you are free to talk about both of them if you wish.

– If you use other sources beside GTY and the course reader then fine, but you must cite to them.
Note, it is not a reporting assignment it is about what you learned, how can use the skills in you life or carrier (law field), analyze what you learn, …etc.
